Library Runner

Library Runner  DIGITAL MEDIA (casual position)

Omnilab Media is one of Australias leading media services companies. We develop, create, produce, deliver, manage and sell content of world standard for every visual medium.
We are a smart, fast moving and growing business, requiring a person with a passion and an aptitude for digital & broadcast (videotape) media and great client services skills.
Based in Melbourne at Digital Pictures the Library looks after the Film & Video assets of Digital Pictures, Iloura and Flagstaff Studios as well as their respective clients.

We are looking for a responsible, motivated and energetic person who is able to meet the physical demands of organizing and moving library items internally and externally.

The successful applicant will show strong communication and problem solving skills & initiative with experience working in a busy environment with frequent conflicting deadlines.

Experience in a customer service role and a desire to provide an exceptional customer experience is a must.

Responsibilities will include:

"Ensuring Library Entries are updated and correct
"Moving Library materials to different internal departments
"Despatching Library materials externally
"Responding to client queries and requests
"General clerical duties
"Assisting with other departments as needed

The applicant needs to be competent at Microsoft excel and Microsoft Word and general clerical duties. Knowledge of various video tape, film and digital media formats is an advantage but not essential.

The job involves extensive administration work therefore the applicant needs to be highly organised and display great attention to detail.

This is a casual position so the candidate must be flexible in their availability. Office hours are 8am to 7pm Monday to Friday. Occasionally the library runner may be required to stay back past office hours depending on orders. Usually this is no more than 30 minutes after closing. Also weekend work may be offered to the runner from time to time. The library runner position will work a minimum of 20 hours a week. Over the next few months it is expected the hours will exceed an average of 30 hours per week. Due to the changing nature of the work, Runners hours may change form week to week.

This position will require a weekly timesheet to be completed of all hours worked for a monthly payroll.
