The LaB sydney and Film Construction assist in CLEANING UP AUSTRALIA

Visual Effect houses, The LaB sydney working alongside esteemed commercials director Ken Lambert of production company Film Construction have completed production on the charity spot for the 2006 Clean Up Australia Campaign.

The commercial titled You mucky country, depicts four of Australia's most renowned an loved landscapes and landmarks, Uluru, the Three Sisters, the 12 Apostles, and the Sydney Harbour Bridge along with an underwater setting. The commercial offers the viewer an illusion of a recognizable setting, but when a brighter light is shed on the scenes they reveal themselves to be forms of discarded garbage.

Each scene was photographed in studio by director Lambert and are art directed using everyday garbage to match the basic architecture of the landmarks and landscapes.

Each vinette appears to be monuments that we all know so well, but only for a brief moment, before they're revealed to be what they really are, plastic bags, aerosol spray cans, cardboard boxes, and a discarded bicycle wheel in a dump site .

What really drew me to this spot was the implication that the beauty of our country could easily be turned into something none of us wants to see if each of us doesn't take the personal responsibility to help clean up Australia said director, Ken Lambert.

Along with a soundtrack that tugs at the heart strings, the spot has an emotional appeal which ends with Clean Up Australia project founder Ian Kiernan AO cleaning up along the shores of a beach location near beautiful Jervis Bay.
