Steve Bibb joins Ambience Entertainment
SYDNEY- Ambience Entertainments Michael Boughen is delighted to announce that Steve Bibb, one of Australias leading television producers with more than 20 years experience in the media in Australia and the UK, has joined Ambience Entertainment as Executive Producer.
Working alongside Ambience Entertainments Michael Boughen, Steves executive role will include expanding Ambiences development of original factual entertainment programming, pitching, maintaining and strengthening broadcaster relationships, and overseeing the overall production output and quality in this genre.
Prior to joining Ambience Entertainment, Steve was a founding director of successful independent production company, Landmark Television. During this time at Landmark, Steve was responsible for a raft of quality original productions including The Real Seachange (Seven Network), Confidential (FOX8), Five Star Insider (Discovery Travel & Living), Family Firm (TVNZ), Michael Parkinson: The Shane Warne Interview (UKTV) and The Da Vinci Code: Fact or Fiction (The History Channel).
I very much look forward to sinking my teeth into my newly created role with such an ambitious and progressive company. Ambience is focussed on the goal of becoming a major player in factual entertainment here in Australia and around the world, said Steve.
Our targets are to develop and convert Ambiences slate of new formats and shows in both FTA and STV. At the same time, well also look to actively acquire strong international formats.
In the end its all about delivery quality programming that hits the mark for the broadcaster.
Before forming Landmark Television, Steve ran the successful indie Flyscreen Productions whose shows included the highly acclaimed documentary series, Brontes Story. Steves television career began at the Nine Network where he spent almost a decade learning the ropes from the countrys top professionals and was eventually anointed a network Executive Producer. Before television there were newspapers where Steve started as a cadet reporter for The Sun in Sydney. In 1987 he moved to London and worked in Fleet Street with colourful staff jobs on The News of the World and The Sun.
Michael Boughen views Bibbs appointment as a natural expansion for Ambience Entertainment. Steve is highly regarded as a creative force - an experienced television maker known for delivering quality product to broadcasters around the world in the factual, entertainment and lifestyle genres. His body of work fits perfectly with our vision for Ambience Entertainment and our further expansion into factual entertainment, said Boughen of the appointment.
